Our newest release Chardonnay, is a regional expression of the Hunter Valley. This native fermented wine is unfined and filtered. Bright flavours of white nectarine, melon, subtle hints of oak, long and textural. Complex yet approachable.

 

HART & HUNTER 75 DAYS CHARDONNAY

This wine is interesting; there is a lot to appreciate in the flavour profile, as well on the palate. There are florals, along with white spice and dried herbs on the nose. In the mouth it is an unctuous, totally textural wine, with almonds and butterscotch and an underlying lovely citrus line of acidity.

ALBERT BICHOT “SECRET DE FAMILIE” CHARDONNAY

Our Burgundy Chardonnay “Secret de Famille” is produced with vines located in Côte d’Or region only, around extremely well-located vineyards on the outskirts of the villages well-known for their white wines (St Aubin, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet…). We treat these wines as if they were white village from the Côte de Beaune where the yields are low of course, with perfectly appropriate ageing. The nose is dominated by hints of citrus and white flowers, and evolve in notes of honey and dried fruits. The mouth is very balanced, skillfully blending vivacity and roundness.

DIRT CANDY “THE ONE” CHARDONNAY

Hand picked in mid-January from a single vineyard in Pokolbin, NSW, and then cold settled in stainless steel at 4°C. It was then racked off into a new French oak puncheon and inoculated with cultured yeast. The temperature was controlled throughout fermentation to maintain maximum fruit flavour before going through Malolactic fermentation. The yeast lees were stirred every week to add creaminess and texture to the palate. Finally, the wine was racked from barrel using gravity, hot/cold stabilised and filtered. Delicious to drink now or can be cellared for five years or more.

HART & HUNTER 26 ROWS CHARDONNAY

Early picked Chardonnay has ensured the retention of natural acidity and citrus flavours to balance the depth and richness from the barrel ferment and regular lees stirring that followed. This small batch represents the selection of the best french oak offering unique structure, blended with a small portion of unoaked wine to increase the fresh lifted fruit on the palate.
